1. Open pick-up truck tailgate completely and fold the top of the Gate Glove® over the top corners of the tailgate.

2. Close tailgate approximately half-way.  Next, take the tailgate out of the right side hinge.

3. Insert the bottom flap of the Gate Glove® through the gap between the tailgate and the pick-up truck box.  Push the flap completely though the opening; re-hinge the tailgate

4. Standing behind the tailgate, grab the bottom flap with both hands (close to the center) and pull the flap towards yourself as tightly as you can.

5. Hold the bottom flap tight with one hand, use the other hand to pull the top flap down and attach the Velcro strips to each other.  Use the sewing lines for your center mark.  Note: Always start in the center of the tailgate and work from the center towards the outside, attaching one side at a time.

6. Pull up side flaps and attach to the Velcro strips located on the back of the Gate Glove®.  Adjust the location of the side flap up or down on the Velcro strip to ensure that the material by the tailgate latch is pulled tight in order to keep it from catching on the side of the truck box when the tailgate is being closed.

7. Close the pick-up truck tailgate and ensure the latch opening in the Gate Glove® is aligned with the latch on the tailgate.

8. If the latch opening needs alignment, use both hands and adjust the Gate Glove® up or down until the latch and the opening are aligned.  Once you have adjusted the Gate Glove® it will stay in position.

If the Gate Glove® is installed properly it should be stretched snugly over the back of the tailgate without any wrinkles or creases and no paint should be showing at the latch opening.

Your new Gate Glove® may seem small when installing it for the first time.  This is done intentionally as it will stretch a little with time.  Installation is easier at temperatures above 10 degrees Celsius.

 

Gate Glove® Care

The Gate Glove® can be washed with water and mild soap.

The Gate Glove® should be removed from the tailgate and dried if any moisture gets inside the cover.

1.    Ouvrir le hayon du camion complètement et replier le dessus du Gate Glove® par dessus les coins supérieurs du hayon.

2.    Fermer à moitié le hayon. Ensuite, enlever le hayon de la charnière du côté droit.

3.    Insérer le rabat inférieur du Gate Glove® dans l'espace entre le hayon et la boîte du camion. Passez le rabat dans l’ouverture, remettre la charnière et ouvrir le hayon.

4.    En se tenant derrière le hayon, agripper le rabat infèrieur avec les deux mains (près du centre) et tirer le rabat vers vous aussi fort que vous le pouvez.

5.    Tenir le rabat inférieur tendu avec une main et de l'autre, tirer sur le rabat supérieur et attacher les bandes Velcro® ensemble. Utiliser la couture comme centre. Note: Commencer toujours au centre du hayon et aller vers l’extérieur en attachant un côté à la fois.

6.    Tirer sur les rabats et attacher les bandes Velcro® situeés à l'arrìère du Gate Glove®. Adjuster la position du rabat de coté vers le haut ou le bas avec les bandes Velcro® pour s'assurer que le tissu près du hayon soit bien tendu afin d'empêcher qu'il ne se coince sur les côtés de la boîte quand le hayon est fermé.

7.    ADVANCE \d 5Fermer le hayon du camion et s'assurer que l'ouverture du loquet du Gate Glove® soit aligné avec le loquet du hayon.

8.    Si l’ouverture a besoin d'être alignée, utiliser les deux mains et lever ou abaisser le Gate Glove® jusqu'à ce le loquet et l'ouverture soient alignés. Une fois que le Gate Glove® est ajusté, il demeurera en place.

Si le Gate Glove® est bien installé, il devrait être bien tendu, être par dessus le hayon sans être froissé et la peinture ne seurait pas être visible à  travers l’ouverture du loquet.

Votre nouveau Gate Glove® pourrais paraître petit lorsqu'installé pour la premiére fois. Ceci est intentionel car il vas s'étirer avec le temps.  L'installation est plus facile à des températures supérieures à 10E celcius.

 

Entretien du Gate Glove®

Le Gate Glove® peut être lavé avec un savon doux et de l'eau.

Le Gate Glove® peut être enlevé du hayon et sêché si de l'humidité s’est introduite à l'intérieur.

1. Abra totalmente la puerta o portezuela trasera del platón y despliegue el Gate Glove® sobre ésta,  meta las esquinas superiores de la puerta.

2. Cierre la puerta aproximadamente la mitad y desenganche o desprenda el lado derecho de la bisagra.

3. Inserte la parte inferior delantera del Gate Glove® a través del espacio entre la puerta y el platón, jale todo el protector hasta que quede sobre la puerta, enganche nuevamente la bisagra y vuelva a abrir la puerta completamente.

4. Estando de frente a la puerta jale con las dos manos (cerca al centro) la sección que cubre la parte trasera de la puerta  haciéndolo lo mas fuerte posible.

5. Sosteniendo la sección o base del protector con una mano y jalando con la otra mano la parte superior junte la sección que tiene velcro. Utilice las costuras como guía para mantener derecha la unión. (recuerde empezar desde el centro hacia los lados uno a la vez).

6. Jale hacia arriba las secciones o partes laterales y júntelas con el velcro localizadas en la parte frontal del Gate Glove®. Ajuste hacia arriba o hacia abajo en la cinta de velcro, para asegurarse que parte del protector quede bien tensionado y así evitar que sea aprisionado por las partes laterales del platón cuando la puerta sea cerrada.

7. Cierre la puerta trasera de la camioneta, pick up o troca y asegúrese que el orificio de la cerradura y la cerradura concuerdan o están alineadas.

8. Si la abertura u orificio de la cerradura necesitan ajuste, use las dos manos para ajustar  Gate Glove®. Jale hacia arriba y hacia abajo el protector hasta que alineen los dos (orificio o abertura con la cerradura). Una vez queden alineados esta no se volverá a desalinear o perder.

 

Si el protector Gate Glove® se instala adecuadamente este deberá o podrá estrechar un poco sin arrugas o embombaduras, y ninguna pintura deberá verse en la parte exterior de la puerta.

Su nuevo protector Gate Glove® aparenta ser algo pequeño cuando lo instale la primera vez, esto es hecho intencionalmente debido a que este se estirará un poco con el tiempo. La instalación se facilita a temperaturas  por encima de 10C. o 50F.

Cuidados con Gate Glove®:

El protector Gate Glove® se puede lavar con agua y jabón suave.

El protector Gate Glove® debe ser removido de la puerta y secado al aire libre si hay algún indicio de humedad entre el protector y la puerta.
